Project Description:
The purpose of the planned upgrades is to improve the functionality of the Woolshed and yards, including the safety and wellbeing of farm livestock.
The Woolshed was erected in the 1960's, and is getting withered and tired. Floorboards and timber grating needs renewing; holding/catching pens, gates and ramps need redesigning; and corrugated iron cladding and roofing needs replacing.
The Station looked at two options; either repair and add to the existing shed or replace the shed entirely. Of course it was a no brainer, the Trustees consider the Woolshed an iconic piece of the Station's farming history so preserving the shed would be more in keeping with the character of the Station.
